 message from the President………

What do you say to someone who was there and willing to preside as

president while our chapter was facing the task of restructuring?

Thank you.  Thank you, Jack, for all your hard work and dedication.

Highlights of January General Meeting                                                    January 6, 2005

General meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President, Jessie DeMers

A big welcome was given to our guests:  Jerry, Kathy, Brad, Josh, Alyssa and Rebecca Smith.  They came from the Boise area and are active Appaloosa breeders here in Sandpoint.

The club gives a big “Thank you” to past president, Jack Lamb, for a job well done in 2004.  Thank you, Jack!   We also want to thank all the 2004 officers and board members for all their efforts and dedication to making the club run smoothly.  Thank you all.

A big welcome to our newest members, Tammy Damiano and her daughter, Tiffany.  Tammy owns Panhandle Flagging here in Sandpoint and Tiffany is an active 4-H member.

Libby Stockdale was the winning recipient of this month’s raffle.  Congratulations, Libby!  Libby will be bringing the raffle prize for the next meeting.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Colleen reported that the unencumbered bank balance was $1320.91 plus the December bake sale proceeds of $244.35, bringing the 2004 year-end and profitable total of $1565.26 to carry over into 2005.  There was some confusion with the reporting of these numbers during the meeting, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Some good news:  Gretel Kleint, BCH Treasurer (Back Country Horsemen of America) contacted me to correct the state dues amount owed.  Instead of owing $606.00 we owe $540.00.  The check is in the mail.  BCH is not sure what the 2005 dues amount will be.  The delegates who attend the convention will be able to bring that information back to us.
